Raj Tarun, the Telugu actor known for his roles in films like Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Naa Saami Ranga, is currently in the spotlight as he faces police scrutiny following a complaint lodged by his live-in partner. Lavanya, Raj Tarun’s girlfriend, has accused him of infidelity, claiming that he is having an affair with another actress.
According to multiple sources, the woman in question has formally lodged a complaint at Narsinghi police station, asserting that Raj Tarun duped her by making a fraudulent commitment to marry her before betraying her trust.
As per a 123 Telugu report, Raj Tarun and Lavanya have maintained a relationship since 2012 and started cohabiting in 2014. The woman in question has claimed that the actor has been involved in a romantic entanglement with an actress based in Mumbai for a considerable period, disregarding their own bond.
Furthermore, according to a Telugu Cinema report, Lavanya disclosed that she and the actor participated in a clandestine marriage ceremony at a temple. The report further indicated that Raj Tarun had promised to formalize their union legally, but is now reportedly entangled in a romantic liaison with a co-star from his upcoming project.
Lavanya further revealed that Raj Tarun has been absent from their shared dwelling for a duration of three months. Furthermore, the report highlighted that individuals associated with the actor have purportedly issued threats of harm towards her due to her decision to formally terminate their relationship.
The actor has now issued his clarification with the media. As quoted by Telugu 360, he expressed, “Lavanya has been taking drugs and I could not control her. I did not approach the cops because of my reputation. She is dating Mastan Sai and I have all the proofs. I even transferred so much money and she instead used to cheat and blackmail me. After 2017, she is addicted to drugs and I could not control her anymore. She started blackmailing me after I asked her to vacate my flat. Lavanya also got arrested in a drugs case in the past. I will proceed legally at the earliest and I request the media to support me.”
Raj Tarun recently portrayed a pivotal character in the film Naa Saami Ranga, alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni, helmed by choreographer Vijay Binni in his directorial debut. His portrayal as the protagonist’s confidante significantly contributed to the movie’s narrative arc.
Moving forward, the actor is slated to star in Thiragabadara Saami, under the direction of AS Ravikumar Chowdhary. This forthcoming project will see him in the lead role alongside a talented ensemble cast including Malvi Malhotra, Mannara Chopra, Makrand Deshpande, and Raghu Babu in crucial roles.
Additionally, Raj Tarun is currently engaged in filming for Bhale Unnade, where he shares the screen with Manisha Kandkur in a leading capacity. Directed by J Sivasai Vardhan, the film boasts a supporting cast comprising actors like Hyper Aadi, Srikanth Iyengar, Racha Ravi, VTV Ganesh, and others.
