In Jharkhand’s Dumka, Class 9 students of a government school tied their teacher and two school staff to a tree and thrashed them. All these students were failed due to low marks in practical exams.

Students allege that the teacher deliberately gave them low marks, due to which they failed. Angered by this, the students tied the teacher, the clerk and the peon to the mango tree of the school with a rope and beat them fiercely. The students have also done Facebook live of this entire incident. After the video surfaced, the DDC has asked to investigate the matter and take action against the culprits.

In this case, an FIR has been registered on the written application of assistant teacher Kumar Suman and clerk Soneram Chode, making 11 students, including school principal Ramdev Kesari, named accused. It has been told in the application given in the Gopikandar police station that only on the instigation of the principal of the school, the students assaulted Kumar Suman and Soneram Chadre.

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) had released the class 9th result on August 26, in which 11 students of Scheduled Tribe Residential High School Gopikandar failed. Angered by this, the students formed a group on Monday and reached the school teacher Kumar Suman and clerk Soneram Chaudre and started inquiring about the number given in the practical. They were insisting on showing the paper.

Will take action after investigation: DDC
In this regard, the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Dumka said that it will be investigated by the District Welfare Officer and the BDO of Gopikandar. The allegation of the students will also be probed. The DDC said that whatever the reason, the matter of beating up the teacher and others is serious. He said that the guilty students are being identified in this, action will be taken against them.
