Teacher recruitment will start as soon as the court orders: ‌ Bratya

The teacher recruitment process in the state has been stalled for years. At the same time, recruitment of education workers is also stopped. As a result, many vacancies have been created in the recruitment of teachers. However, the state education minister Bratya Basu said that the state government is interested in recruiting teachers quickly. He said, “The recruitment process will be started as soon as the court orders.”

Bratya Basu went to a function at Trinamool Bhaban on Friday. Speaking to reporters there, state education minister Bratya Basu said, “We want to streamline the school education system in the state. We want to quickly fill the vacancies created in schools by hiring teachers. But at the moment the server room is closed and there is a problem. I hope His Excellency the court will do justice .’‌ On this day, the Education Minister explained that teachers will be appointed step by step. In that case it may take three years. It is clear from the statement of the Education Minister that the state government is looking at cutting the court clutter in the recruitment of teachers.

In the meantime, not only in the case of recruitment of teachers in SSC, but also in the case of recruitment of primary teachers, multiple allegations of corruption have come to light. The CBI is investigating allegations of corruption in the recruitment of SSC and primary teachers. The EDO is conducting an investigation. Former state education minister Perth Chatterjee is under the watch of CBI and ED. Investigators are looking into where the corruption took place in the recruitment of teachers. Meanwhile, due to the complexity of the court, there has been no progress in the teacher recruitment process since 2016. Besides, no education staff has been recruited since 2015. In this situation, the teacher recruitment process has come to a standstill due to legal complications.
