Taraka Ratna’s Funeral To Be Held Today In Hyderabad, Wife Alekhya Reddy Falls Ill

New Delhi: On Saturday evening, the 39-year-old Telugu star Taraka Ratna left everyone shocked with his untimely demise on Saturday, February 18. The actor’s funeral will be held today at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.. He passed out on January 27 at Kuppam, during the beginning of the TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh’s state-wide “padayatra,” which was last month. For treatment, he was brought to Bengaluru, but his condition remained critical. The actor-politician breathed his last on February 18.

On Sunday, his mortal remains were taken to his house in Hyderabad, where various celebrities, including his cousin NTR Jr., paid their tributes. Alekhya Reddy, Taraka Ratna’s wife, is reportedly sick after her husband’s sad demise.

As per a report in PinkVilla, she hasn’t eaten for two days because she’s been caring for their kids. After falling in love on the sets of the movie Daya, in which she worked as a costume designer, Taraka and Alekhya got married in 2012. Despite Taraka’s family’s resistance, the couple exchanged vows in a temple in Hyderabad without the actor’s family present.

The family has been shown in distress in social media videos and pictures as they struggle to comprehend the tragedy. After paying tribute to Taraka Ratna, Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen crying.

Taraka Ratna was the son of Nandamuri Mohan Krishna and the grandson of late N T Rama Rao, an actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered his condolences to the bereaved family through a tweet which reads as, “Pained by the untimely demise of Shri Nandamuri Taraka Ratna Garu. He made a mark for himself in the world of films and entertainment. My thoughts are with his family and admirers in this sad hour. Om Shanti: PM.”
