Widely regarded as the best player of this generation and one of the greatest in history, Kohli has been the face of Indian cricket for more than a decade. Being one of the most followed athletes in the world, Kohli’s impact on the sport has been massive.
And Netflix seems to agree with the cricketer’s stature in global sports. In a clip from the Game Changers documentary on their platform, Kohli is referred to alongside several top-tier athletes across different sports.

Kohli is having a phenomenal year on the international level. He was a star performer at the Asia Cup 2023 as India went on to clinch the trophy against Sri Lanka in the final. His good run in form has continued at the World Cup at home. The player is currently the third-highest run-maker in the competition with a tally of 442 in seven innings.
Kohli also boasts an impressive average of 88.90 and is the player with the most 50s in the tournament. He has been at the end of some match-winning knocks to ensure that India remains unbeaten in the competition.

Virat Kohli’s form might be impeccable right now but he is facing some issues in accumulating centuries at the World Cup. He was able to surpass the 80-run mark four times at the 2023 World Cup but only has a single century to his name.
His latest ton came on October 19 after he smashed a six against their neighbouring side Bangladesh to finish the innings. Kohli is currently one century shy of matching Sachin’s all-time ODI century record of 49. He will have another opportunity to reach the milestone at the Eden Gardens Stadium on November 5 as India will take on South Africa in their eighth game of the competition.
