The information about the bomb created a stir in the district court of Chandigarh. The police had received a letter stating that a bomb had been planted in the judicial complex of Chandigarh. This bomb is in a car, which will explode at 1 am. Search has started for about 3 hours. Meanwhile, a suspicious carry bag containing tiffin and a bottle has been found in the court complex. Army team has been called from Chandimandir to investigate this.
Heavy police force has reached the spot. The entire complex has been evacuated and sealed. All the lawyers have also been asked to stay outside. After this, the commandos of Operation Cell, Dog Squad, Bomb Disposal Team and Reserve Force have reached the court. Fire brigade vehicles are also present there.
Chandigarh’s bus stand is also at a short distance from the place where the police search operation is going on in Sector-43. There also the police is conducting a search operation.

SSP Manisha Chowdhary told that the Chandigarh Police had received information in the control room that there could be a bomb in the district court and bus stand. Regarding this, on January 26, police teams were sent to the district court under the checking campaign of the police. It also included Operation Cell and Bomb Detection Team. The court premises were immediately evacuated. Since then the search operation is being conducted in the entire campus.

The SSP said that during the search in the district court, tiffin and water bottle were found in a carry bag. It has been checked by the bomb detection team. At the same time, the bomb detection team from Punjab has also reached here for checking. Nothing suspicious has been found in the preliminary investigation. However, to ensure this, a bomb disposal team has been called from Chandimandir. He said that Chandigarh Police had received a call from the control room of Haryana Police. After this, investigation is being done at the district court as well as the high court and the bus stand.
Alert in the High Court as well
Apart from the Chandigarh district court, similar threats were also received in the Panchkula court. There also the police searched after taking out the lawyers, staff and other people. On the other hand, police security has been increased in Punjab and Haryana High Court as well. At the same time, the police are asking to take precaution and inform on the receipt of any suspicious object.

Shankar Gupta, president of the Chandigarh District Court Bar Association, said that he received a call from the police around 12 noon. In this, information was given about the bomb in the district court premises and the court was asked to be evacuated. According to Shankar Gupta, such bomb threats were reported in Panchkula Court and High Court as well.
First mock drill understood
Seeing the police suddenly in the court complex, it was already understood to be a mock drill. However, when the lawyers talked to the police officers, it was found that a letter had been received about the presence of a bomb here, after which the police is probing it.
Conspiracy or Prank?
The police is also probing the information about the bomb in Chandigarh from several angles. Is it really a conspiracy or mischief has been done, the special teams of the police are engaged in the investigation of the letter.
Panic spread last year as well
Let us inform that earlier in April last year, RDX was found near the wall of Chandigarh Burail Jail. This raised questions on the security of the jail. Army’s bomb disposal team was first called from Chandimandir to defuse this RDX. And after that the NSG team from Manesar reached the next day. After a long time it was defused with the help of a robot. This mobile phone and another detonator were found on April 28 on a thorough investigation. On April 23, police found tiffins, detonators and burning codex wire near the jail wall.
Pakistani newspaper had detonator
A black colored bag was also found from the spot. It contained a detonator wrapped in a Pakistani Urdu newspaper. There was a small polypack, containing some nails and a print out of Khalistan Action Force. Some dump data was collected from the spot.
