New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen has hit netizens’ radar ever since the news of her dating former IPL chairperson Lalit Modi came out. The actress has faced much flak for the same with some social media users even calling her out as a ‘gold digger’, for dating Lalit Modi.
Recently, veteran actress Simi Garewal has come out in support of the actress. Simi shared a post on Instagram which read as, “It’s deplorable the way Sush is being trolled on SM. Why? Because she’s a woman who lives on her own terms? Devoid of hyprocrisy? No one has a right to attack her personal choices! A highly intelligent and compassionate woman. She deserves to have her happiness.”
Simi shared the post with the caption, “Dearest Sush..you have our hearts..💞.. Love you..🤗”

Sushmita’s brother Rajeev Sen also came out in support of his sister. In an interview to ETimes, Rajeev said, “A lot has been said about my sister negatively regarding her current pictures with Mr Modi. I can proudly say that my sister is a self-made woman. She knows her priorities, she is a responsible mother and a role model for many Indians. Nothing can take that away from her. Also, whatever my sister had to say, she has done that through her Instagram posts.”
Earlier, the former Miss Universe shared a post on Instagram, wherein she hit back at the trolls with a long note. Sharing a picture of herself in a swimsuit, standing in a pool, Sushmita wrote, “Perfectly centred in my being & my conscience…I love how nature merges all it’s creation to experience oneness…and just how divided we are, when we break that balance. 🤗👍 It’s heartbreaking to see just how miserable & unhappy the world around us is becoming….
