Sunday sees 7 deaths, Goa’s positivity rate at 14% | Goa News – Times of India

PANAJI: Goa’s Covid-19 cases on Sunday fell by almost half while testing dropped by over 50% as compared to Saturday. The state recorded a positivity rate of 14% with 282 new infections and 2,010 samples tested.
Seven people lost their lives. Two of these, aged 65 and 42 years were brought dead. Both were double vaccinated. A 79-year-old passed away within 17 hours of hospitalisation. Of the deceased, four were unvaccinated while three were double vaccinated.
Over the past 24 hours, 261 persons were home isolated, 21 admitted to hospital and 16 discharged.
