Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal has now been summoned in the Behbal Kalan shooting incident. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by IG Naunihal Singh has summoned Sukhbir on September 6. Sukhbir Badal was earlier summoned in the Kotkapura shootout. Sukhbir was called to Chandigarh yesterday i.e. on 30th August. However, Sukhbir said that he did not get the summons. Sukhbir appeared in Zira Court in the case of dharna on National Highway instead of Chandigarh. After this Sukhbir Badal also clarified that he had not received the summons.
SIT said – did not receive the summons
On the claim of Sukhbir Badal not getting summons, the SIT of ADGP LK Yadav said that summons were sent to his house twice but the police officer was told that Sukhbir was abroad. Summons were not taken both times. Summons were also sent by courier. After this, a summon was also sent on the WhatsApp of Sukhbir’s close friend. This SIT has called Sukhbir on September 14.
Sukhbir said – send as many summons as you want
Sukhbir said that you can summon as many as you want, I am ready to come. Sukhbir said that earlier I was abroad, so summons were not taken. When I returned, no one came to summon me. I came back and called the SIT officers myself and asked when to come. We don’t need to be afraid of anyone. For the first 5 years, Congress did drama in the name of sacrilege.
