Staff Selection Commission Mandates Aspirants To Do Fresh One-time Registration – News18

The OTR is being done from February 23.

As the SSC has launched a brand new website, the aspirants are required to do a fresh registration through the OTR.

The aspirants who are preparing to appear in the SSC competitive examinations have to get their OTR or the One-time Registration again. The reports state that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to apply this method again after eight years.

The OTR is being done for the aspirants who are going to appear in SSC examinations. This registration is also conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and State Public Service Commission, as it keeps all the required details of the students who are going to appear in the exams. The commission is going to start the one-time registration from February 23 onwards. This method of registration was last done in 2016.

As the SSC has launched a brand new website, the students are required to do a fresh registration through the OTR. The new website is ssc.gov.in. Students who are going to appear for SSC recruitment examinations like CGL (Combined Graduate Level exam), CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level exam), CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces exam), CPO (Central Police Organization exam), MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff exam), GD Constable, JE (Junior Engineers exam), JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) and Stenographer.

Follow the steps mentioned below to successfully register through OTR:

-Go to the new SSC website: ssc.gov.in.

-On the homepage, select the Login or Register option to start.

-After selecting Register Now, your screen will display a registration form, where you have to fill in your details like name, date of birth, gender, parents’ name, Aadhaar number, educational qualification and more.

-Go to the next page to provide details on your contacts.

-Then you will be given an OTP (One Time Password) on your email and phone number to for verification.

-After the form submission, you will get your official registration number and password on your registered ID and phone number.
