SSC Announces Recruitment Drive For Central Armed Police Forces On Over 4000 Vacancies – News18

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for the Central Armed Police Forces examination, inviting applications for various posts in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Aspiring candidates can apply for these positions through the official website of the SSC, ssc.gov.in. The recruitment drive aims to fill more than 4000 vacancies, with the application deadline set for March 28.

Eligibility criteria specify that candidates must be graduates from recognised institutions and aged between 20 and 25 years as of August 1, 2023. Candidates born between August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2004, are eligible to apply, with age relaxation provided to reserved categories as per regulations.

The deadline for online application submission is March 28, while the fee payment window closes on March 29. Candidates can make corrections to their applications until March 31. The examination for these positions is scheduled for May 9, 10 and 13, 2024.

The selection process includes a written examination comprising Paper I and Paper II, followed by a physical examination, document verification and medical examination.

For the SSC CPO Delhi Police SI PST/PET (Physical Standard Test/Physical Endurance Test), specific standards have been set. The PST includes height, chest measurements and weight requirements varying based on gender, region and category. For the PET, male candidates are required to complete a 100-meter race in 16 seconds and a 1.6km race in 6.5 minutes, along with the long jump, high jump and shot put. Female candidates must complete a 100-meter race in 18 seconds, an 800-meter race in 4 minutes and similar tests for long jump and high jump.
