Sri Lankan PM constitutes panel to restore law and order

Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has constituted a panel to restore law and order in the country. The panel comprises of chief of defence staff, IGP, commanders of the tri-forces and they have been asked to restore the law and order situation in the country.

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters took to the streets in Colombo demanding Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s resignation as news emerged that he has fled to the Maldives.

Sri Lanka has been witnessing massive protests for the last few days over the financial crisis that the island nation is facing.
