Widespread protests have erupted across the nation as Sri Lanka faces the worst economic crisis in its history. There is a shortage of essentials and citizens have been without power for more than 13 hours. Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had declared a nationwide curfew to curb the protests. However, a protest was called on Sunday despite the 36-hour curfew.
