The Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Monday fined SpiceJet Rs 10 lakh. Because they trained the pilots of the B737 MAX aircraft with faulty equipment. The pilots are trained with the same vehicle as the real aircraft. DGCA claims that there was a defect in that device.

The DGCA claims that the faulty training of SpiceJet has raised questions about passenger safety. The DGCA protested against Enie SpiceJet. But the answer they gave is not satisfactory. The DGCA then imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh. This is a penalty for training pilots with faulty equipment.

Meanwhile On May 30, the DGCA suspended 90 pilots after surveillance. The DGCA carried out surveillance in Greater Noida. According to airline sources, the Boeing 737 MAX has 650 trained pilots. They also have 11 such aircraft. Meanwhile, a SpiceJet spokesman said that 580 of the 650 trained pilots for Max were working. This number is more than required.

Meanwhile, after the crash of Lion Air in 2016 and Ethiopian Airlines in 2019, Boeing 737 MAX has been re-launched from December 2020.
