There has been tension on the India-China border since March 2020.

Amidst the tension on the border LAC with China, intelligence agencies have said in an advisory that the soldiers of the country should not use Chinese mobile phones. Family members of soldiers should also not use Chinese phones. For this, all defense units and formations have been asked to warn their personnel.

Military intelligence agencies have advised soldiers and their families not to buy or use phones from India’s enemy country, according to documents obtained by the agency. Sources said that this advisory has been issued because there have been cases of malware and spyware being found in mobile phones of Chinese companies.
There is danger from these mobile phones

Intelligence agencies have also given a list of such mobile phones along with consultations, which may pose a threat to the security of the country. These include phones from these Chinese companies – Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, One Plus, Honor, Realme, ZTE, Gionee, Asus, Infinix.

In the past too, spy agencies have been very active against Chinese mobile phone applications. Several Chinese apps were removed from the phones of military personnel. The defense forces have also stopped using Chinese mobile phones and applications on their equipment.

There is tension between India and China since March 2020. Both the countries have made heavy deployment against each other along the LAC from eastern Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh.
