Smriti Mandhana Confident About England Tour, Says 2022 Has Been Good For Women’s Cricket Team

IND-W Vs ENG-W: In preparation for the upcoming series against England, Smriti Mandhana, the team India opener and vice-captain has expressed faith in the Indian women’s cricket team. The Indian squad is riding high after a successful Commonwealth Games 2022 campaign in English conditions, where they brought home a silver medal. Although they lost the tournament final to Australia, the Indian women’s cricket team received high praise for their campaign.

A successful 2022 for women’s cricket has led to high hopes for India in the upcoming tour of England.

India face England in three T20Is and three ODIs. The first T20I will be played on September 10 at the Riverside Ground. The ODI series will be a part of the ICC Championship.

“The year 2022 has been good for the women’s cricket team, and we are expecting to continue this momentum with the upcoming India tour of England. We are elated after winning the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games, we will look to replicating our success in the upcoming series as well,” said Mandhana in an official release.

After the series with England, India will travel to Sylhet, Bangladesh, to compete in the Women’s Asia Cup.
