Unknown persons shot at the house of Shua’a Mansur, the mayor of the Arab city of Tayibe, Hebrew media reported early Friday morning.
Mansur’s security guard was killed in the incident and had been evacuated to to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba before his death was determined by medical personnel.
Police are investigating the incident.
Around the same time as the shooting, reports came out of a Shuafat resident in Jerusalem that killed in a violent incident.
Police are also investigating the circumstances behind the murder.
