The anticipatory bail of Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, named in the drugs case, has been rejected by the court. The Mohali court has given this decision while issuing a 14-page order. The Mohali court said that Majithia has tried to make it an act of political vendetta. Although till 2017 he himself has also been a mighty man.

The court said that the plea for delay in the FIR cannot be held to imply that the case registered against Majithia is false. Apart from this, anticipatory bail cannot be granted even on the matter of registering the case illegally.

This case has been registered on the basis of a report. Due to which it appears that Majithia has an involvement in the drug trade. Full investigation regarding all facts and financial transactions etc. can be done only in the interrogation of custody. It cannot be under the protection of anticipatory bail. Majithia’s lawyer has said that the option of going to the High Court is open to him, will file his petition soon.

Court’s observation while rejecting anticipatory bail…

Earlier, Majithia had filed a petition in the Mohali court on Thursday. On which the court heard the arguments of the lawyers of Majithia and the government. After which Special Court Judge Sandeep Kumar Singla issued a notice to the government. In this, the investigating officer of the case was asked to present himself with complete records.

Punjab Police has registered a case against Akali leader Majithia under sections 25, 27A, 29 of NDPS Act at Mohali Crime Branch police station. Majithia’s strings have been linked to a synthetic drug racket worth 6 thousand crores exposed a few years back in Punjab.

Police could not catch Majithia

A case was registered against Akali leader Majithia on Monday night. After this, the police immediately raided his official residence in Chandigarh, although Majithia was not found there. Majithia had gone underground by then leaving the security of the Punjab Police. The police raided many states in search of Majithia but nothing was found.

Serious allegations against Majithia

In the FIR of Punjab Police, serious allegations have been made against Bikram Majithia. In which it was said that Canadian drug smuggler Satpreet Satta was staying at his Amritsar and Chandigarh residence. He was given a car and a gunman. Majithia got the synthetic drug supplied. Not only this, Majithia also solved the 1.5 crore dispute that arose between drug smugglers.

Majithia has also been accused of illegal sand mining. At the same time, Majithia has denied all these allegations. It is mentioned in the ED report. However, based on the ED’s investigation report, the Special Task Force of Punjab Police considered Majithia’s role suspicious and recommended its investigation. After which the police registered the case.
