Himachal’s capital Shimla is all set for Christmas. Shimla city and surrounding areas are divided into five sectors for Christmas. Of these, 6 magistrates and nodal officers of the police department have been appointed. For better traffic management, 106 additional police personnel were deployed. From today, shuttle buses will ply from Tutikandi to Shimla Old Bus Stand.
Come to Shimla only after booking a hotel
About 90 percent of the hotels in Shimla have been booked. In such a situation, rooms will be available in hotels outside Shimla city, so get the hotel booked before coming to Shimla. However, vehicles of tourists whose hotels have not been booked will not be allowed inside the city. Shuttle service will run for them from Tutikandi. These buses will run continuously till 11.30 pm.
Shimla Police is continuously patrolling Ridge Mall Road.
This will be the traffic plan for Christmas
- If more tourists come, in that case the vehicles will be diverted from Tutikandi towards Malyana.
- Tourists going to Kufri and Naldehra will be diverted towards Shoghi-Dhali bypass road.
- Jawans posted at Shoghi police post will guide tourists to avoid traffic jam.
- Tourist buses and heavy vehicles will not be allowed inside the city.
Tight security on Ridge and Mall Road
Security has been tightened at The Ridge and Malroad. Police teams are monitoring 24 hours here. Apart from this, the hooligans are also being monitored through CCTV cameras. Apart from this, QRT jawans have also been asked to be ready for immediate action.
