Who Is Ritesh Agarwal And What Is His Net Worth?

Ritesh Agarwal was born in 1993 in Cuttack, Odisha. He finished his schooling at St John’s Senior Secondary School. His entrepreneurial spirit was present since his schooling days as he used to sell SIM cards after school at the age of 13. Later, he moved to Delhi to complete his higher education but dropped out to build a business. Ritesh founded OYO in 2013 with the idea of providing budget accommodations. Over the years, it has acquired several rooms in different hotels and homes and now it goes by the names of OYO Hotels and Homes.

In 2016, Ritesh Agarwal was featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in Asia. The company has now expanded itself around the world including the United States, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia and Middle East countries. According to DNA, his net worth is $2 billion (around Rs 166.55 crore).

Who Is Deepinder Goyal And What Is His Net Worth?

Deepinder started Zomato in 2008, in which he currently holds a 5.55 per cent stake. He diluted his shares from 7.7 per cent in 2020 to 5.5 per cent last year. He was born in Punjab and his parents were teachers. He completed his graduation from IIT Delhi with a degree in Mathematics and Computing.

Zomato brought its IPO in 2021. Deepinder’s net worth then swelled to $650 million at that time. By September 30, 2022, his net worth was Rs 2,030 crore. In 2020 he used to earn over Rs 3 crore per annum which dropped to Rs 1.96 crore in FY21. He later said that he wouldn’t accept any salary for the next three years.

Last year, Deepinder received shares worth Rs 387 crore as ESOP which he donated to the Zomato Foundation which works for the benefit of the company’s delivery partners with a total worth of Rs 700 crore.

Deepinder Goyal is also a serial investor and has invested in companies like SquadStack, Bira91, HyperTrack and Terrado, among others.

Ritesh Agarwal and Deepinder Goyal will join the Sharks panel on Shark Tank India 3.
