The Chaturthi Tithi and Panchami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha were observed on Wednesday, October 18, as per Drik Panchang. On this day, devotees observe a fast for the religious festival known as Vinayaka Chaturthi during Shardiya Navratri. October 18 marked the fourth day of Navratri, and Lord Ganesha was worshipped in six auspicious time slots.

Dr Ganesh Mishra, an astrologer from Kendriya Sanskrit Vishvidyalaya, informed News 18 that on this day, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga were formed, along with Amrit Siddhi, Ayushmana Yoga, and Saubhagya Yoga. Saubhagya Yoga began at 08:19 a.m. and extended late into the night. Ayushmana Yoga commenced early in the morning, lasting until 08:19 a.m.

Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga started at 06:23 AM and concluded at 09:01 PM. Amrit Siddhi Yoga also commenced at 06:23 AM and ended at 09:01 PM, with Ravi Yoga sharing a similar time frame.

Dr. Ganesh Mishra also stated that the puja muhurta, or the auspicious time for worship, would commence at 01:26 AM on this day and last until Thursday at 01:12 AM. He specified that the ideal time for Ganesh Puja was from 10:58 a.m. to 01:15 p.m. Dr. Mishra also guided how devotees’ wishes could be fulfilled on Vinayaka Chaturthi, including information on moonrise time and astrological remedies.

On Vinayaka Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha is typically worshipped during the day, and it is considered inauspicious to watch the moon. Moonrise was expected at 09:41 am, with moonset at 08:05 pm. According to belief, watching the moon on Vinayaka Chaturthi can bring misfortune to the viewer’s destiny. Dr. Ganesh Mishra advised adhering to specific astrological solutions for the day, which are as follows:

Relief from Difficulties and Financial Problems: Worship Lord Ganesha with red clothes, red sandalwood, marigold flowers, and Akshat, and offer 17 bundles of Durva grass, along with ghee and jaggery.

Increasing Happiness and Good Fortune: Apply vermilion tilak on Lord Ganesha’s head and worship him to enhance happiness and good fortune.

Solution for Reducing Poverty: While worshipping Lord Ganesha, offer Shami leaves, which are used in special prayer rituals.

Ensuring Good Luck and Prosperity: Marigold flowers should be offered while worshipping Lord Ganesha on Vinayaka Chaturthi.
