SGPC chief Harminder Singh reached Dhami on Wednesday to protest the release of Sikh prisoners in Mohali, Punjab, but his vehicle was vandalized here by protesters. The protesters pelted stones and shouted slogans at his vehicle.

At the same time, during the incident, action was also taken by the police to pick up the Sikh gangs sitting in a concrete front. There was opposition to this as well. The police also had to use force.

People associated with Sikh groups were gathering near Gurdwara Amb Sahib for the last few days. A firm front was organized here regarding the demands. This demonstration was being held under the banner of Quami Insaaf Morcha. Sikh protesters said that this concrete front will continue till these demands are fulfilled.
