The second phase of the budget session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly began today. CM Manohar Lal read the condolence proposal after the commencement of the proceedings at the fixed time at 11 am. After this, Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read the condolence proposal. Both the leaders paid tribute to the brave soldiers in the House.

In the condolence motion, tribute was paid to MP Ramesh Kaushik, close relatives of the MLA. Former CM read the condolence resolution on the death of Bhupendra Chaudhary. A condolence motion was also placed in the House on the death of actor Satish Kaushik.

Earlier, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda convened a meeting of the Legislature Party and brainstormed. In the meeting, a strategy was chalked out with the MLAs to corner the government on issues including rising debt and lathicharge on sarpanches, e-tendering and price rise. Opposition MLAs will gherao the House on these issues. The Haryana government has also made full preparations to retaliate and face the questions firmly.

  • After the condolence motion in the House, the proceedings of the Question Hour have started. Congress MLA Dharampal raised the issue of the dilapidated condition of the service road. Responding to the MLA, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that the road work would be completed by March 31.
  • The issue of water logging due to illegal bridges was raised in the House. Answering this question of the MLAs of the opposition parties, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that till now 9 bridges have been built, out of which 8 bridges were built in the previous governments. If there is water logging due to the construction of bridges, then the government will get it investigated.

It will start from the Question Hour and in the Zero Hour the MLAs will be able to raise their issues. Apart from this, two calling attention motions will also be placed in the House. For this session, 52 MLAs have sent 339 starred questions and 21 MLAs have sent 185 unstarred questions to the Assembly Secretariat. Draw has been done for all these. Along with this, 71 calling attention notices, two adjournment motions, two private motions, two short term motions have also been received from the MLAs.

The eight standing committees constituted for grants to the departments on the budget will present their reports in the House.

Budget of Rs 1 lakh 83 lakh 950 crore
In the first phase of the budget session, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar as Finance Minister has presented the fourth budget of the coalition government. Manohar Lal has presented a budget of Rs 1 lakh 83 thousand 950 this time. This is 11.6% more than the previous year. He said that no new tax has been imposed in the new budget. The old age pension has been increased by Rs 250 in Haryana.
