Scorned man hacks woman to death in Karnataka | Mysuru News – Times of India

HASSAN: A 32-year-old woman in Doddapura village was hacked to death on Wednesday evening by a youth after she refused to stay in contact with him.
Revati is survived by husband Guruprasad and two children Vasanta, 12, and Tanushri, 8. The family was dependent on farming for livelihood.
Latesh, a married man from same village, is the accused, the police said.
Latesh had been pestering Revati for a month to leave her husband and marry him, the police said. He had also threatened to kill her if she refuse to do so, the police added.
Latesh came to Revati’s house while she was washing clothes. He approached her and when she objected, he hacked her to death with a sharp object, the police said.
The case is registered in Hassan rural police station, said Hassan deputy SP GV Udayabhaskar.
One person has been taken into custody for questioning.
