On June 2, 278 people lost their lives in a train accident in Balasore, Odisha. The bodies were kept at a school 500 meters away from the spot. The dead bodies were removed from this school, but the children are not coming to study now.

The principal of the school says that the children are scared to come here. In such a situation, he informed the management about this. After which the school is now being demolished. A new building will be constructed here and studies will start after worship.

65 years old school
The school management committee had requested the state government to demolish the old school building. On June 2, when the triple train accident happened. The rescue team then immediately converted the 65-year-old school building into a temporary mortuary. Dead bodies wrapped in shroud were brought here.

Worship will be done to drive away fear
Pramila Swain, principal of Bahanaga High School, said, “Young children are scared. After the building is completed, the school plans to organize spiritual programs and conduct some rituals to help them overcome their fears. About 650 children study in the school.

Order to demolish after the visit of District Collector
The district administration visited the school on Thursday. Balasore District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said, I have met the school management members, principal, other staff and local people. They want to demolish and renovate the old building so that the children have no fear. Although at present the school is being demolished symbolically, it will take two-three months to completely demolish it.
