Satyendar Jain’s massaging rapist: Tihar officer said – he is not a physiotherapist, was arrested last year under POCSO Act

Some videos surfaced on 19 November. In these, Satyendar Jain was seen getting his massage done in Tihar.

Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain, who is serving a sentence in Tihar Jail, the person from whom he was getting his massage, is a rapist. The BJP had questioned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after the video of the massage in the jail surfaced. After that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that Jain’s health is bad and he is being given physiotherapy.

News agency ANI quoted Tihar’s official sources as saying that the person who gave massage to Jain is booked under the POCSO Act. He was arrested a year back. He is not a physiotherapist.

BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala tweeted after this news came to the fore. He wrote – Well, he was not a physiotherapist. The one who gave massage to Satyendra Jain was a rapist. Shocking. Kejriwal must answer why he defended Satyendar Jain and insulted the physiotherapist.

Three days ago Shahzad Poonawala had shared some videos in which Satyendar Jain was seen getting massaged in the jail.

Sisodia had said – it is shameful to make fun of the disease
After the video surfaced, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia immediately came out in favor of Satyendar Jain. He had said that Jain is ill and is taking physiotherapy on the advice of doctors. He raised the question as to how the videos of Tihar were leaked and reached the BJP. Also, making fun of Jain’s illness was said to be shameful.

Rinku, who is seen doing the massage in the video, is serving a sentence under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and Sections 376, 506 and 509 of the IPC.

Physiotherapist Association had said – do not degrade therapy
Sisodia’s statement was opposed by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. The president of the association had said, “As a professor, I can say that the massage shown in the video is not physiotherapy. Many physiotherapists are in jail across the country, but this is a way of demeaning therapy. We oppose calling this type of massage as physiotherapy.The minister responsible for this should apologise.

The DG and the Superintendent have left for providing facilities to Jain.
Tihar Jail’s barrack number 7 superintendent Ajit Kumar was suspended on November 14 for allegedly giving VVIP treatment to Satyendar Jain. 10 days before this, i.e. on November 4, Tihar DG Sandeep Goyal was removed and Sanjay Beniwal was brought in his place. He was accused of extorting Rs 10 crore from Tihar-bound thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Along with these, some other employees were also removed.

CBI court denied bail to Jain in money laundering case

Satyendar Jain has got another blow in the CBI court. On Thursday, the court refused to grant bail to Satyendar Jain and two others in a money laundering case.
