Satyendar Jain hospitalized again: Fell unconscious in Tihar Jail’s washroom, sustained injuries; Reached the hospital for the third time in a week

When Satyendar Jain was brought to Safdarjung Hospital on May 22, his weight had reduced by 35 kg.

Former Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain has been admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Satyendra Jain fell unconscious in the washroom of Tihar Jail on Wednesday night. The Tihar Jail administration said that he had minor injuries. He has been brought to Deendayal Hospital for checkup.

This is the third time in a week that Jain has been brought to the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi itself. Then he had problems with his spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deen Dayal Hospital due to the same problem.

The lawyer had said in the Supreme Court – this man has become a skeleton
The lawyer had given information about his health in the Supreme Court Satyendra Jain’s lawyer Abhishek M Singhvi had cited Satyendar Jain’s deteriorating health during the hearing in the Supreme Court. Singhvi had said that the man has become a skeleton, he has lost 35 kilos in jail. His health is continuously deteriorating and his case is at number 416 on the waiting list.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “I pray to God for the better health of Satyendra Jain ji. Jain’s case may be heard in the vacation bench
Satyendra Jain is in custody since 31 May 2022. After his bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on 6 April, he appealed for bail in the Supreme Court.

Summer vacations have started in the Supreme Court. Jain’s lawyer had said that he should be given the exemption of hearing in the vacation bench. On this, the Supreme Court had given him permission to go to the vacation bench. A bench of Justices AS Bopanna and Hima Kohli issued a notice to the ED on Satyendra’s plea in the money laundering case, seeking its response.
