Russia Ukraine War: Russia’s siege over the Bucha massacre

The war between Russia and Ukraine continues for the 41st day. Meanwhile, Russia is under great siege over the Bucha city massacre in Ukraine. Voting can be held today on America’s proposal to suspend Russia from the United Nations Human Rights Council. After the news of the horrific massacre and piles of dead bodies in the city of Bucha, many countries including America have strongly criticized Russia. US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said on Monday that the US wants Russia’s suspension from the UN Human Rights Council because Russian troops have committed war crimes in Ukraine. Thomas-Greenfield has called for Russia to be stripped of its seat on the Human Rights Council in the wake of reports of violence against civilians in the city of Butcha, near the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
