A fierce clash broke out between BJP and TMC MLAs in the West Bengal Assembly on Monday. BJP MLAs were demanding a debate on the Birbhum violence case. During this, there was a fight between the MLAs of both the sides and the MLAs started tearing each other’s clothes.

TMC MLA injured in uproar
TMC MLA Asit Majumdar was injured during the uproar in the assembly. He has been admitted to the Woodburn ward of PG Hospital, Kolkata. 5 BJP MLAs including Suvendu Adhikari have been suspended from the assembly till further notice. On the other hand, there was uproar in the Lok Sabha after the violence in the assembly of West Bengal. Due to this the house was adjourned till 2 pm.

BJP made serious allegations against TMC
On getting information about the ruckus in the Bengal assembly, CM Mamata Banerjee called the state’s urban development minister Firhad Hakim. The CM has expressed concern over this entire incident. BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari had alleged that Trinamool MLA Shaukat Molla and other women MLAs along with the security personnel of the assembly attacked the BJP MLAs.

Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee said, “What happened in the House is unfortunate. He said that some people do not care about the dignity of the House. They do not understand the importance of Vidhan Sabha and their aim is only to create ruckus in the Assembly.
