Sports play a crucial role in India. Sportspersons, who have represented themselves at the state, national or international level, get eligible for various government jobs as well. Recently, the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) issued a notification regarding the recruitment of sports coaches on its official website.
There are a total of 128 vacancies for various sports including wrestling, hockey, athletics, archery, basketball, volleyball, Kabaddi, football, handball, gymnastics, weightlifting, boxing, cycling, judo, cricket, swimming, badminton, tennis, Wushu, Kho-Kho, Taekwondo, shooting and table tennis. Eligibility Criteria for RSSC Sports Coach
Age Limit: Interested candidates who want to apply for the position of coach in the respective sports should be a minimum of 18 years of age and a maximum of 40.
Education qualification:
Candidates should either have a diploma in coaching from NS NIS Patiala, SAI, etc., or they should have participated in the Olympic or Asian Games, World Cup or World Championship with a certificate course in coaching. They can also be a senior national medalist with a graduation degree.
The selection process for RSSC Coach involves three main stages, with marks divided between them.
Stage 1: The first stage is physical fitness and practical demonstration. This stage will carry 30 marks.
Stage 2: Stage 2 will include their whole profile, which includes their experience and achievements in sports. This round carries 60 marks.
Stage 3: The third stage is the interview round which will carry 10 marks.
