MUMBAI: A commuter who fell down while trying to board a moving train at Wadala railway station in Mumbai was saved by an alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on Sunday
“It was a miraculous escape for the 25-year-old commuter as he was almost slipping into the gap between the train and platform before being pulled away by the RPF staff,” said Central Railway chief spokesperson Shivaji Sutar.
The commuter, identified as Ankit Sharma, a resident of Borivali Westwas at Wadala railway station in the afternoon when he tried to board a moving train on platform number 1, he said.
“RPF personnel Netrapal Singh immediately dragged him away as he fell down. The victim was shocked after the incident and after a while, when he came back to normalcy, he thanked our RPF staff for saving his life,” Sutar said.
The Central Railway will felicitate the RPF constable.
