Anticipating ‘horse trading’ in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena has decided to accommodate all its MLAs at a resort in Malad (Madh) area of Mumbai. Some time ago, about 50 MLAs have reached a resort in Malad after filling 2 buses. According to party sources, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and minister Aaditya Thackeray are going to reach him in a short time.
Shiv Sena had ordered all party MLAs and some independent MLAs to come to Mumbai with their ‘bags’ earlier in the day. Interesting contest with BJP fielded three candidates
The BJP has fielded three candidates, Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Anil Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik, while the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has fielded Praful Patel. Sanjay Raut and Sanjay Pawar are the candidates from Shiv Sena. Congress has given ticket to Imran Pratapgarhi.
