Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of 18 parties for opposition unity in Patna on 23 June. A Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) minister resigned from Bihar’s Grand Alliance government on Tuesday, 10 days before the meeting.

Santosh Suman said – Nitish wants to end our existence

On the question of going to NDA, Santosh Suman said – no decision has been taken on this yet. We can contest elections alone as well. At present we are with the Grand Alliance. We want to stay, but big parties JDU and RJD do not want to keep us.

In this, discussion is being held on who should be given the charge of SC-ST welfare department. It is being told that ministers will be made from the quota of Congress and JDU. Ratnesh Sada can be made a minister in place of Santosh Suman. Ratnesh always comes from Manjhi community. He is JDU MLA from Saharsa’s Sonvarsha.
