Jadeja Did Not Have Much To Do In Seam-Friendly Conditions In Cape Town

Talking about the Cape Town Test, Jadeja did not have much to do in that fixture and did not bowl a single over in conditions favourable for seam and swing. It was the Indian pacers who had a superb outing with Mohammed Siraj registering figures of 6/15 in the first innings and Jasprit Bumrah being the wrecker-in-chief in the second innings, finishing with figures of 6/61.

Having said that, Jadeja did get an opportunity to bat in the first innings but departed for a 2-ball duck as India lost their last six wickets for 0 runs to get bowled out for 153. In the second innings, Jadeja’s services were not required with the bat. The left-arm all-rounder is likely to get picked in India’s squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan which commences on January 11 with the series opener set to be played in Mohali.
