Rajya Sabha Elections: List of BJP candidates may be released today, the panel of contenders is with Nadda

The list of BJP candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections may be released on Saturday. BJP can send some existing Rajya Sabha members to Rajya Sabha again, while some new names will get a place.

The term of 11 of the 31 members of Uttar Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha ends on July 4. Nominations will be filed till May 31 in the elections to 11 Rajya Sabha seats. In the assembly, with the help of 273 members of the BJP alliance, the party can win 8 seats. According to sources, the names of sitting Rajya Sabha members Syed Zafar Islam, Shivpratap Shukla, Sanjay Seth and Surendra Nagar have been sent to the panel. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Jugal Kishore from Dalit class, State General Secretary Priyanka Rawat, former MLA Radha Mohandas Agrawal from Vaish class and former MP Naresh Agarwal, former state president Laxmikant Bajpai and Shiv Pratap Shukla from Brahmin class, Baburam Nishad from backward class, former MP Purnima Verma and former Union Minister RPN Singh, who came to the BJP from Congress, are the main contenders.

New state president may be announced today
The announcement of the new state president of BJP can be done on Saturday. BJP can play bets on any Brahmin or backward class. BJP’s State Working Committee meeting will be held on May 29 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. According to party sources, the upcoming action plan of the organization will be brainstormed in the working committee. In such a situation, the party leadership can announce a new president before the working committee.

The names of Panchayati Raj Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary, Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan and Union Minister of State BL Verma are prominent from the backward classes. At the same time, the names of MPs Subrata Pathak, Satish Gautam, Mahesh Sharma and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma are being discussed.
