Raju Srivastava’s Health Improves Slightly, Tries To Interact With His Wife Shikha: Report

New Delhi: Raju Srivastava, who has been undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, has shown slight improvement in his health. He is now able to move his hands and feet after gaining consciousness according to his chief advisor, Ajit Saxena.

India Today’s report on Raju’s health update quotes his chief advisor Ajit Saxena saying that the stand-up comedian tried interacting with his wife Shikha Srivastava after improving his mobility. He also added that Raju’s health is ‘steadily improving’ as he himself is now making an effort for quick recovery.

The report also mentioned that the comedian’s wife is the only person meeting him at the hospital, owing to the risk of infection. She also shared that he has shown slight movement in his hands and feet.

The 58-year-old stand-up comedian suffered a heart attack while he was working out in a South Delhi gym. Raju was complaining that he felt uneasy when he was moved to the hospital. He underwent an angioplasty the same day and has been on a ventilator ever since.

Over the past few days, the comedian’s health has witnessed significant fluctuations. On September 1 it was reported that Raju was suffering from mild fever after contracting the infection. The fever subsided after a few days.

Raju Srivastava has carved a niche for himself in the world of stand-up comedy with his well-timed jokes and comic takes on some very relevant situations in life. He rose to fame with the first of its kind stand-up comedy talent hunt show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, with its first season premiering in the year 2005

He has appeared in Hindi films such as “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Baazigar”, “Bombay to Goa” (remake) and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya”. He was one of the contestants on “Bigg Boss” season three.
