Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu and Kashmir today: will address the Security Conclave; Will also review the security arrangements of Amarnath Yatra

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu and Kashmir today. He will attend the Security Conclave at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium of University of Jammu. This program will start from 10.30 am.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina told that 1500 special people have been called in this conclave. These include army officers, defense experts, think tanks and defense journalists. In the program, the Defense Minister will tell about the works done by the Modi government in the field of defence.

The Defense Minister will also visit the BJP Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar. Here he will hold a meeting with party leaders and discuss the political situation.

Rajnath Singh will also review the security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra starting from 1st July. The yatra will start from July 1, which will run till August 31.

The annual Amarnath Yatra ritual began on June 3 with the ‘Pratham Puja’ at the Amarnath cave. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha attended the first puja through video conferencing. Devotees will be able to visit Baba Amarnath from July 1.

The Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) will also telecast the morning and evening aarti live for people across the globe. Amarnath Yatra app has been released on Google Play Store to avail travel, weather and many services online.

Security forces monitoring with drones in Jammu and Kashmir
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the Amarnath Yatra. Security forces monitored the yatra route with a drone in Udhampur on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, CRPF Director Sujoy Lal Thaosen reviewed the security arrangements.
