Rain alert again in Himachal: Monsoon weakened for the last five days after a blistering entry, 48% less rain than normal

Monsoon current has slowed down completely in Himachal. Not even a drop of rain fell in most parts of the state for the last five days. According to the Meteorological Department, only 1.5 mm of rain was recorded in Barthi during the last 24 hours, while after the entry of monsoon, between June 24 and 27, it rained 135 percent more than normal.

At the same time, between June 28 and July 2, there has been about 48 percent less rainfall than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance is becoming active again from tomorrow. In view of this, on July 5 and 6, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in some low and medium high areas of the state.

It may rain in some areas of the state today and tomorrow also. There has been a slight rise in the temperature after there has been no rain for the last four-five days. Due to this, the maximum temperature of 13 cities of the state is crossing 30 degree Celsius.

Less than normal rainfall in 5 districts

Five districts of the state have received less rainfall than normal during the last seven days. Lahaul Spiti has received 83 per cent less rainfall, Una 77 per cent, Hamirpur 63 per cent, Kangra 33 per cent and Kinnaur 24 per cent less than normal.

More rain than normal in these districts

On the other hand, Shimla recorded 63 percent more rainfall than normal, 52 percent in Kullu and Sirmaur, 23 percent in Solan, 47 percent in Chamba and 4 percent more than normal in Bilaspur.

135% more rain than normal between 24 and 27 June

After the entry of monsoon, between June 24 and 27, it received 135 percent more rainfall than normal, while between June 28 and July 2, it received 50 percent less rainfall than normal.
