Radhika Merchant’s parents, Viren and Shaila Merchant, expressed their joy at her wedding with Anant Ambani.
A special reception was held last night for the Ambani household staff and Reliance employees to celebrate newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Radhika’s parents, Viren Merchant and Shaila Viren Merchant, sweetly addressed the guests in their speeches and thanked them for making the grand festivities possible.
Viren said, “Sorry, mera Hindi is not as shudh as Mukesh bhai so I take this opportunity to speak in English, or I can speak in Kutchi also. First and foremost, thank you all for being here. Your presence means a lot to both the families and especially to Anant and Radhika. You all have been the backbone to allow us to have these celebrations and we are very very privileged that you all can be a part of the celebrations with us; please enjoy the evening, like Mukesh bhai said, with a program from AR Rahman and dinner upstairs on the third floor. Thank you once again for being here and showering blessings on our children, it definitely means a lot to us.”
Shaila continued, “Jai Shree Krishna, namaste. Aap sab ne itna keemti waqt nikal ke aaye ho, thank you very much, dhanyawaad. Meri Radhika ka naam ‘Krishna ki Radha’ aur mera Anant Ram Navmi ke din janam hua hai. Toh mujhe Ram hi mil gaya hai. Aap sab parivaar ho aur aap aaye ho, ashirwaad de ke jaana. Aap sab khaana kha ke jaana, bas, thank you very very much (Thank you for taking out precious time. My Radhika’s name means ‘Krishna’s Radhika. My Anant was born on Ram Navmi, so I have got Ram. You all are family and you are here, so please bless the couple and make sure you eat before you leave).”
