Queen Elizabeth came to Bangladesh, ate murdi!

Queen Elizabeth II became the Queen of England in 1952. He came to independent Bangladesh only once in the last seventy years. He came in 1973. Talked to the women of the village. On one day of his four-day official visit, he visited Bairagirchala village in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur. From Dhaka by train to Sreepur, from there by car to Rani Bairagirchala. This visit of the queen is still a very precious memory for the people of the village. He said that there was a lot of work to be done on the infrastructure of the village. But one question many ask is, why did Queen Elizabeth come to see this gran? Reminiscing, local M Sakhawat Hossain told the BBC that the queen wanted to visit a self-reliant village in Bangladesh. The queen was fed in this village and was also shown weaving cloth. The queen spent most of her time with the women of the village. Hossain said the queen had given her grandmother a key which is still carefully kept in their family.
