The budget session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly begins today. This session will continue till June 30. On June 27, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab will present its first budget. This budget will be paperless. The budget will be made available to the MLAs through the mobile app.
In this session, the government led by CM Bhagwant Mann will bring a proposal to make One MLA-One Pension and permanent employees. During this, the opposition has made preparations to surround the government on the issue of law and order.

The governor had returned the ordinance
The Mann government had earlier passed the Ordinance of One MLA-One Pension. Which was sent to the Governor for approval. However, the governor returned it saying that it should be passed by the assembly and sent. After which it will be passed in the session starting from today itself.
Free electricity and school health in the budget
In the budget, the government will also make provision regarding free electricity. CM Bhagwant Mann has announced that from July every household will get 300 units of electricity free of cost. Apart from this, big arrangements can also be made in the budget regarding school and health infrastructure.
