Punishment for social service for false rape case: Delhi High Court asks woman to work in blind school for two months

The Delhi High Court on Monday awarded a unique sentence for registering a false case of rape. The court has ordered this woman to do social service in the blind school for three hours a day, 5 days a week, for two months. The matter came to light when a settlement was reached between the accused and the complainant woman and the accused appealed in the court to quash the FIR.

The court, while quashing the rape FIR, said that the woman has family and children too. Therefore he is punished for social social service. At the same time, the accused was also directed to plant 50 saplings.

After the settlement, the accused filed a petition
According to the agreement given in the court, the woman had confessed that the accused had never had physical relations against her will. The woman was having a money dispute with the accused, due to which she was upset and after taking the wrong advice of some people, she lodged an FIR.
The accused had approached the court seeking quashing of the FIR after a settlement was reached between the two parties. In this FIR, the woman had alleged that she was sedated by a cold drink and then raped.

Order to plant 50 saplings and take care for 5 years
The Single Judge Bench of Justice Jasmeet Singh said that the allegations written in the FIR and the things written in the MoU are completely different. The woman has abused the rights of the law. She had said that she was going through depression, due to which she filed a false complaint of rape.

That is, against whom the complaint was made, he is also guilty somewhere, in such a situation, the accused is also directed to plant 50 trees within 6 weeks in Rohini zone of the city. He will also have to take care of these plants for 5 years. Along with this, its report will also have to be given after 6 months.
