Pune Car Accident Case: RTO Officer Sanjeev Bhor says, “The car was delivered from a dealer in Bengaluru. A temporary registration was issued by the Bengaluru Central RTO, which was valid from March 18, 2024, to September 17, 2024. The owner brought the car to the RTO in Pune for registration on April 18, 2024, where it was inspected and approved on the same day. The prescribed fee was not paid, and the registration number for the car was not issued. Since this is an EV (Electric Vehicle), there is an exemption in registration fees and taxes… The accused is not liable to have a driving license until the age of 25… Flying squads have been instructed to immediately seize any vehicle without a number plate.”
