Prove no ‘setting’, open challenge to Modi by Tathagata Roy

After the arrest of Partha Chatterjee, Mamata Banerjee’s 4-day visit to Delhi. And on the second day of that visit, the Modi-Mamata meeting was accused of ‘setting’ by the Left and the Congress. Now that tone was heard from within the BJP as well. Challenging the Prime Minister directly, senior BJP leader Tathagata Roy wrote, ‘Prove, you have no setting with Mamta’.

In a tweet today, Tathagata wrote, Kolkata is very eager to know whether the ‘setting’ has been done. The setting means a secret understanding between Modiji and Mamata. Meanwhile Trinamool thieves and/or killers of BJP workers are roaming under the open sky. PM assure us, there is no setting.

There was no response from BJP or Trinamool on Tathagata’s comments. However, the allegations of Left-Congress in the face of BJP leaders have created a new heat in the political circles.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Friday afternoon. The chief minister highlighted the financial demands of the state in a meeting of about 40 minutes. Sources also said that they discussed about increasing the area of BSF and naming the central project.

However, the Left-Congress claims that Mamata rushes to Delhi to set up only when a Trinamool leader-minister is arrested for corruption in the state. This time is no exception. He had a private meeting with the Prime Minister, foreseeing the impending danger in the arrest of Partha Chattopadhyay. Left – Congress’s question, if she met the Prime Minister to highlight the demands of the state, why does Mamata not keep Navanna’s bureaucrats? They can explain it to the Prime Minister in more detail. The purpose of the private meeting is to have a direct understanding with the BJP. However, BJP claims that the Chief Minister can meet the Prime Minister in the federal framework. It is inappropriate to look for any other motive behind it.
