President Murmu: President Murmu flew in Sukhoi fighter jet, took-off from Tezpur airbase in Assam

Today is the third and last day of President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Assam. On the last day of his tour, President Murmu flew in a Sukhoi fighter jet. The President took this flight from Tezpur airbase in Assam. Earlier in 2009, the then President Pratibha Patil has also flown in frontline fighter aircraft.

President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the Gajraj Festival-2023 in Guwahati on Friday. On this occasion, he said that there is a sacred relationship between nature and humanity. The work which is beneficial for nature and animals and birds, is also in the interest of humanity. It is also in the interest of Mother Earth. Earlier, he fed elephants and enjoyed a jeep safari at Kanjiranga National Park. The President called for treating elephants with kindness, keeping their corridors free of obstructions to facilitate their movement.

Let me tell you, President Draupadi Murmu reached Guwahati on Thursday afternoon on a three-day Assam tour. He was received at the airport by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria was also present at the airport to receive the President.
