Pragya Mohan defends South Asian champion title in 2022 Asia Triathlon Cup – Henry Club

International athlete Pragya Mohan in triathlon (swimming, cycling, running) successfully defended her South Asian champion title at the 2022 Asia Triathlon Cup and South Asian Championships Pokhara in Nepal on April 2.

Pragya, who hails from Ahmedabad, became the champion for the first time in the 2019 edition.

Held in Nepal, the largest Indian contingent in an international race participated with 17 men and 12 women.

Pragya covered the spirit distance (750m swim in a lake followed by 20km cycle and 5km run) in 1:06:22 hours. Maharashtra’s Sanjana Joshi finished second in 1:10:08 hours Sony Nepal’s Gurung is coming in third at 1:11:17, a release said.

“This result proves my athletic prowess not only as the best Indian triathlete but also among the best in Asia,” Pragya said in a statement.

In 2019, she was the first triathlete to represent India in the Triathlon World Cup. He is the current South Asian Triathlon Champion. In 2015, he was awarded the Eklavya Puraskar (Sr.), the highest sports award in Gujarat.
