Tamil Nadu Congress leader Pazha Nedumaran has claimed that LTTE chief V Prabhakaran is alive. Nedunaran said, ‘Prabhakaran is not only alive but also healthy. They will soon be revealed to the world. Help create a conducive environment for them to appear. However, the Sri Lankan Defense Ministry dismissed the claim as a “joke”. Also cited DNA evidence to confirm the death.

Prabhakaran was killed in an operation by the Sri Lankan Army on 17 May 2009. After that, the end of the conflict between the LTTE and the army was also announced in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was a Sri Lankan terrorist organization. It was Velupillai Prabhakaran who headed this organization demanding a separate nation for Tamils.
