During the post-mortem, once again the biometric record will be taken and mixed with the Aadhaar card database. At the same time, the police has appealed to the people to cooperate in identifying the deceased. In the footage of December 17, the deceased is seen roaming in the markets near Darbar Sahib. Now the police has started scrutinizing the records of 16 December.
Finger print will be matched again with the database
DCP Bandal said that the first finger prints of the dead body were taken and they were also matched with the Aadhar card database, but without success. At the time of postmortem, his biometric record will be taken again and the same will be sent for reconciliation with the database.
Photos and information sent to other states
DCP Bandal said that the photographs have been sent to all the states across India for identification of the deceased. Its record has also been sent to the police of the respective states. If the complaint of a missing person matches with that of the accused concerned, they will approach the Punjab Police.
Police commissioner sought people’s cooperation
Police Commissioner Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill has released the picture to identify the youth. Dr. Gill says that Punjab Police has constituted SIT, but the identity of the youth has not yet been established. Now people’s cooperation is needed. Many revelations made in the investigation of CCTV
The examination of the CCTV installed at the gate of the Golden Temple has revealed that the accused of sacrilege was seen roaming outside the Golden Temple even a day before the incident. Now the police has started investigating the cameras installed in the markets. The Chairman of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Punjab Government to investigate the matter and DCP Law and Order Parminder Singh Bandal informed that the CCTVs of the markets have been scanned, in which the youth remained inside the Darbar Sahib for the whole day on 18 December. But on 17th December, he is seen roaming around the Darbar Sahib for the whole day. After this, the police have now started scanning the CCTV footage of December 16, so that any clue can come to the fore.

With the passage of time, the hope of identification of the accused is also diminishing.
