He said that a man named Manoj tied a rat to a stone and drowned it in water, which resulted in its death. On this basis, the police had taken Manoj into custody. Animal lover made video of cruelty with rat
On November 25, Manoj, who lives near the Gandhi Ground intersection of Badaun, tied a stone to the tail of a rat and drowned it in a drain. Vikendra, an animal lover passing by, opposed this act of Manoj. But, Manoj did not agree and the mouse died. Vikendra made a video of it.
After this, Vikendra took out the rat’s dead body from the drain and sent it in an AC car to Bareilly with the help of the police for postmortem. The expenses of the postmortem were also borne by Vikendra. Along with this, he had lodged a complaint with the police accusing Manoj of killing the rat.

Bareilly IVIR’s Joint Director Dr. KP Singh said that on November 25, the rat’s body was brought to Bareilly. It was told about him that he was killed by tying a rope to the tail of a rat and drowning him in a drain. His postmortem was done by Dr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Pawan Kumar.
He found on examination that the rat’s lungs were bad. There was swelling in the lungs. There was also an infection in the liver. No residue like drain water was found in the lungs. After this, both the doctors did a microscopic examination of the rat. On the basis of this, the doctors came to the conclusion that the rat died due to dry drowning. The tubes in the lungs were torn, which must have been caused by heavy breathing before death.
