A political ruckus has started in Patiala Central Jail over the appointment of Sucha Singh, a close aide of Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal, as a superintendent. Former minister and Congress MLA Pargat Singh has raised questions by tweeting. Pargat Singh has sought answers from Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann in this regard.

He asked why Sucha Singh, a close aide of Sukhbir, was posted as a superintendent, especially in Patiala jail, where Majithia is lodged. He said that this is some collusion with the clouds. Is this the change that Punjab wanted?

Mann and Sukhbir’s friendship will be well known: Youth Congress
Punjab Youth Congress also attacked the AAP government. The Youth Congress said it was a secret pact to help each other. This is Captain Amarinder Singh’s politics of soft attitude towards Akali Dal for political gains. If Bhagwant Mann remains silent on this transfer, then the friendship of Bhagwant Mann and Sukhbir Badal will become clear in front of Punjab.

hence the controversy

This controversy is happening because during the Congress government, Akali leader Bikram Majithia was booked for drugs. Since then Majithia did not get bail from the Lower Court to the Supreme Court. Majithia is lodged in Patiala Central Jail. Two days ago, AAP government minister Harjot Bains got the jail superintendent transferred after visiting the jail. It was then said that Majithia was transferred because of the VIP treatment. However, now the question is arising as to why the jailer close to the Badal family was posted there.
